| the scene from 'Taxi Driver' which we took inspiration from |
our opening scene was influenced by a scene from 'Taxi Driver' by Martin
Scorsese. We felt that this was a good scene to use as it gives the audience a chance to get to know the character, and it also allows for a chance to ease into the film, and carries on well from the title sequence. We merged this scene with other scenes typical of the British crime genre, as instead of having New York City as the back drop, we had an old street of terraced houses in Barnsley, leading into a dilapidated garage.
